PAY SCALES, SERVICE CONDITIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE TEACHERS AND OTHER ACADEMIC STAFF IN TECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS(DIPLOMA) REGULATIONS 2010

After several months of hectic struggle, the AICTE has finally released the draft notification of sixth pay scales for the POLYTECHNIC teachers alongwith their DEGREE ENGINEERING counterparts. Both the draft regulations are available in the newly designed AICTE website.The direct links for downloading the reports are as below:-

However, the apex body, for Engineering education, AICTE has once again proves its rudderless attitude towards the DIPLOMA EDUCATION IN ENGINEERING which could not be improved overnight by launching newly designed website or e-adminstration. It is miserably true that It had failed to understand the importance of Polytechnic Education.

While there is a reason for rejoicing for some of the Polytechnic Teachers, there remains thousands of Teachers who may not be in a position to rejoice.

THERE ARE LOTS OF ANAMOLIES IN THE DRAFT REGULATION.LOTS OF POINTS ARE MISSING , WITHOUT WHICH ANY NOTIFICITATION REMAINS INCOMPLETE.

IT APPEARS THAT SOMEBODY SETS A QUESTION PAPER WITHOUT KNOWING THE SYLLABUS OR LIKE SOMEBODY EVALUATES ANSWERSCRIPTS WITHOUT OBSERVING THE QUESTIONPAPER & AT LAST FORGET TO SIGN IN THE ANSWERSCRPITS ---AS IT IS A SERVICE WITHOUT ANY HONOURARIUM.

IS THERE ANY EXERCISE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE WHERE PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS WERE NOT BEING IMPLEMENTED AT ALL ?

DOES IT FORGOT ITS OWN RECOMMENDED STAFF-STRUCTURE?

WHAT ABOUT ITS OWN CLARIFICATIONS REGARDING THE ANAMOLIES OF THE PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS ?

IF THEY ARE TRYING TO FORGET THOSE , IT IS OUR DUTY TO REMIND THEM. WE ARE FRAGMENTED ..........................STILL ............................................................................ BUT THIS TIME WE ARE NOT UNORGANISED .

IT TOOK ALMOST MORE THAN A YEAR TO PUBLISH THE DRAFT REGULATION. WILL IT TOOK ANOTHER TWO-THREE YEARS TO PUBLISH THE CLARIFICATION LIKE PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS ?

WHETHERE THESE RECOMENDATIONS COULD ANY WAY BE HELPFUL TO THOSE WHO JOINED DURING OR AFTER 1994-1996 .....................................................

ALL THESE QUESTIONS ARE VERY MUCH RELEVANT AT THESE MOMENTS .

All the polytechnic faculties are requested to kindly post analytical & objective views, especially those where AICTE PAY SCALE are yet to be implemented . Kindly post precise views.

TRY TO POINT OUT THOSE ANAMOLIES ALONG WITH THE RELEVANT SUGGESTIONS WHICH MIGHT EASE THE WAY OF SMOOTH IMPLEMENTATION BY INCORPORATING EACH OF THEM IN THE FINAL REGULATION TO COME.

NEVER FORGET THAT THERE ALWAYS IS A CHANCE OF ........................................................" The slip between the cup & the lip " !!!!!
